In dealing with adolescent and adult clients, one question which faces the worker, psychiatrist, or educational counselor—is, “How may this individual come to am effective understanding of himself?” It is recognized that once the individual genuinely understands his behavior, and accepts that understanding, he is able to adopt a more realistic and satisfactory control of his actions, and is less likely to hurt others to gain satisfactions, and in general can become more mature. But how to reach this goal?
