About Our Projects
In keeping with our non-organizational character, the Center itself manifests in the world through the activities and projects of its members.
Projects are activities designed, initiated and executed by our members and approved by the Center, which monitors them for tax, ethical and reporting purposes. Members use projects to manifest their person centered vision in the world through the Center. Projects qualify for non-profit status under the umbrella which CSP provides as a 501.c.3 organization. This allows them to receive tax free donations, and provides a level of support and recognition their work on its own might not receive.
Members develop projects in crucial areas of local, regional, and global need. These include: learning and education, mental and physical health, community development, psychotherapy and counseling, peace and justice, social services, organizational design and development, religion and spirituality, politics and governance. Over the past 50 years projects have made significant difference in areas such as medical education, international peace, conflict resolution in business, journalism and leadership.
These outreaching projects and services are in addition to the individual activities of members and the support provided by our community to person centered practitioners around the world.
Our CSP Projects
CSP Memorial Library
The Library is a public resource. We feature works by Carl R. Rogers, his contemporaries, his students and critics and colleagues, and people who continue in expansion and at least partial reference to that which he initiated.
CR2020 Annual Conference
Our Conference theme – Inspiring a better way through PCA – will provide attendees an opportunity to connect and interact with others in applying Carl Rogers’ groundbreaking contributions to the study and practice of human relationship.
The La Jolla Program
All of us are frequently challenged by issues such as current and hoped-for relationships, careers, job changes, boss or employees, schooling, health, love life, kids’ successes and problems, parents, spirituality, and countless others.
Person Centered Psychotherapy
Carl R. Rogers developed a profound practice and understanding of psychotherapy. Rogers’ essential insight is that certain qualities of the relationship between therapist and client can be learned and practiced.
The Pajaro Group
The Pajaro Group is a collection of practitioners of the Person Centered Approach (PCA) in organizations who meet together and share what we know about the application of Carl Rogers’ work to work and organizations.
Education Transformations is a dynamic, leading edge company with the vision of transforming our children’s learning environments, through our Workshops and Programs
Institute for Transformational Communication
The Program for Transformational Community Leadership and Communication has been in existence for over three years. Its initial focus has been on developing leaders in the Latino community in the San Diego area.
Our theme this year - Finding inner strength, connection and opportunity in times of crisis is particularly apt given the challenges all of us are facing. We’re adapting to the Corona-challenge by moving this year’s conference to an e-format via Zoom. We are compressing our agenda into three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 7 - August 9, making it easier to fit into people’s schedules.
These meetings take place weekly on Friday's from 12 noon to 3PM, Pacific Daylight Time. We generally have around 14 people attending from around the US and the world. The purpose is to allow attendees to feel Community and Support as we Encounter with one another. The meeting is open to all CSP members, as well as to others who the members may recommend. An online Zoom meeting.
Antonio Santos is hosting a weekly PCA International Zoom meeting, which is held on alternating Saturday and Sunday mornings at 6AM Pacific Daylight Time. This start time accommodates the needs of attendees who are spread across the globe. The meeting runs for two hours, and is well attended by members of the International PCA Community - CSP and others.
