I live in North San Diego County, where I have a psychology practice in Encinitas and San Marcos. I am licensed in California and have a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology. I have been active in many person-centered activities since I first learned person-centered therapy, group facilitation and research at the University of Chicago Counseling Center, with Carl Rogers, Gene Gendlin, Goff Barrett-Lennard, John Shlein, Stan Standall and many others.
A commitment to self-direction and mutuality, and a special interest in empathic understanding for discovering the truth available within our own experience, are at the heart of my work in the person-centered approach. Besides my therapy practice with individuals, couples, families, I am available for person-centered training in individual and family therapy and for group facilitation.
