Silvia Dubovoy

Dr Silvia C. Dubovoy is a teacher trainer from birth to six years of age, lecturer, examiner and consultant for the Association Montessori Internationale. Dr. Dubovoy has a B.A., a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Universidad de Barcelona, Spain. She has been a guest lecturer on the Person Center Approach for the Universidad de Barcelona on the Psychology of Groups, Master program. She is an associate professor at Loyola University in Maryland and a lead, clinical faculty at University of San Diego and instructor for the Master in Montessori Specialization.

She holds an AMI Assistants to Infancy (0-3 years), an AMI Primary (3-6 years), and an AMI Special Education Diplomas and has worked, as a trainer, in Mexico, Canada, Spain, Argentina and the USA. As a lecturer she has given workshops and seminars in many countries. Dr Dubovoy is the Director of the Montessori Institute of San Diego, in La Jolla, California, a Teacher Training Centre with a model school. She is an AMI Board member and an AMI representative to the United Nations. Dr. Dubovoy studied and worked with Dr. Carl R. Rogers for many years. She is a member of the Center for the Studies of the Person and had a project called Dialogue, where she facilitated group dynamics with Hispanic women.
